I don't take risks will also be present at the closing event of The Ocean Race world race, in Genoa from June 24 to July 2, with a workshop organized by CIMA Foundation. The initiative will take place on June 27 inside the Ocean Race Live Park - the village set up at the new Levante Waterfront in Genoa - and is aimed at families and children from 6 to 13 years old with the objective of deepening the knowledge of natural risks, also taking inspiration from examples that have involved and involve the Ligurian territory.

In the first part of the activity, the campaign will be presented through slides and videos, focusing on the description of each of the five main natural risks. Then, to test the acquired knowledge, a quiz challenge will be proposed. Volunteers who have joined the Universal Civil Service project "I don't take risks 365: communication" implemented by the Civil Protection Department and CIMA Foundation, will also be called to run this activity.

The Ocean Race is a race around the world in which sailors from all over the world compete in the roughest waters on earth. Often described as the world's longest and toughest competitive sporting event, it is a truly unique human adventure.

During the nine-day event, the village areas will offer free activities aimed at everyone: cultural experiences, edutainment workshops and many activities for families and children. This is an excellent opportunity for the I don't take risks campaign to open up its audience even more and spread good practices, scientific knowledge of phenomena related to risks, both natural and man-made, and general awareness of the active role that each of us can take in risk prevention and reduction by acting before a disaster occurs. Daily choices, whether made individually, as a family or as a community, can make a difference, increasing safety for all.

Free participation in the workshop will be available at three time slots: 10 to 10:45 AM, 11 to 11:45 AM or 12 to 12:45 PM.
