A new seminar at the University of L'Aquila dedicated to I don't take risks and good civil protection practices
A series of meetings addressed to students of the Science Faculty of primary education continues

A seminar on the I don't take risks campaign and good civil protection practices is planned for this afternoon at the University of L'Aquila's Department of Human Studies. More than 230 fourth-year students from the Science Faculty of primary education will participate.
The event, which follows the previous one held on April 12, is organized by the University in collaboration with the Civil Protection of the Abruzzo Region and will be attended by representatives of the Region, the Civil Protection Department, and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
The themes introduced by the speakers included an overview of the risks affecting the territory of L'Aquila and the measures to be adopted to reduce their effects, as well as projects and tools for promoting the culture of prevention aimed at children. These include I don't take risks School, the initiative that since 2017 has brought good civil protection practices into primary schools with activities and multi-risk workshops organised by specially trained volunteers in cooperation with teachers. This year, the project also includes an experimental phase in which teachers are directly involved in choosing the didactic path to follow while teaching civic education.
In addition, there will also be an in-depth look at "L'attimo decisivo," the comic strip distributed in all secondary schools in Italy on October 13, on the occasion of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. During the meeting, students will learn more about the project and all the communication tools created to support the initiative: the dedicated website, where the comic strip and audiobook are available to ensure full accessibility of the content for students with disabilities, the detailed videos related to the individual risks faced by the protagonists of the comic strip, and the six video-lessons produced to assist teachers and available on the Indire platform.
The seminar represents a moment of exchange between institutions and students. It is entirely in the spirit of "I don't take risks 365", a communication campaign encouraging an active role in prevention and risk reduction.
