The comic strip "L'attimo decisivo" will be the focus of a series of activities aimed at young people, organized within the Turin International Book Fair at the Lab Io non rischio, Pavilion 4, Bookstock area.

The biggest Italian publishing fair is not just a cultural festival that brings together all the actors of the book industry, but it has also become a significant hub for comics, which are increasingly recognized as a language rather than a literary genre. In this context, in its second attendance at the Fair, the Department of Civil Protection presents an extensive program of activities addressing children aged 10 to 13 in a dedicated booth on the comic strip "L'attimo decisivo."

Creative reading workshops for secondary school classes will be held from May 9 to 13, starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. Department staff members will coordinate these workshops, which will be accompanied by young people from the civil service project "I don't take risks 365: communication." The workshops aim to provide an interactive reading experience where participants will compete with each other through cartoons and quizzes featuring the protagonists of "L'attimo decisivo": Carlo, Samira, Katja, and Paolo.

On Saturday, May 11, at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m., two workshops are scheduled with the author and the cartoonist of the comic strip, Roberto Gagnor and Mattia Surroz. The story of the comic strip is both creative and educational, and it promotes the culture of prevention, knowledge, and risk awareness. During these workshops, the authors will talk about the creation process of this adventure story, from subject to script, from character to colors. The authors will also attend a meeting on Sunday, May 12, at 4 p.m. at the Department's booth in the Oval Pavilion V177.
